Western Europe has hottest June on record

June 2026 was the hottest June recorded for western Europe and the second warmest globally, driven by the highest sea surface temperatures (SSTs) on record for the month, according to the monthly update from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF).

Bowen said it was possible commuters would not see this level of connection on the SRL, which would be a “great shame”. “It does mean that the new line will not be as beneficial to passengers as it otherwise could be,” he said.

When you look at actual world-class transit cities like London, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo — None of them have free fares. All of them have an extensive network of trains and buses with some combination of speed, frequency, reliability, etc.

Who Gives A Crap put their prices up recently. They now charge $63.50 for a box of 48 rolls of tp, which is 50 cents more expensive than Woolworths at $10.50 for a box of 8. And I don't need to find space to stockpile 48 rolls! Are they trying to kill off their delivery business? 🚽🧻
