I am one of the people who helped edit the last three books in the series, and I agree with this. JKR has shown that she enjoys her cruelty, and no matter how much I loved the books back then, I can't watch this.

I respect trans people, so it's such a little thing for me to not watch the Harry Potter trailer or show. The proceeds from that property go directly to funding anti-trans work. It's a straight line from HP to destroying lives. I can actually SAVE TIME by not supporting this. It requires NOTHING.

Every client's book release is an exuberant special occasion to me! This one is also deeply personal. 💕 INTO THE DEEP BLUE was the second book my lovely boss ever let me sign to our brand-new shared list. I was head-over-heels in love with it, and I can remember the day so clearly. (1/)

My "mundane superpower" has always been reading quickly (which I know is a privilege in my profession). This year, though, I’ve been juggling an intense workload, ever-fun Health Stuff, & wading back from burnout. So it’s been a struggle to stay on top of my reading at all, let alone quickly. (1/)
