Heureux d'annoncer la publication (14/03) de Passés contestés et présents numériques (Le Bord de l'Eau) avec J. Schuh pour la coll. UDPN dirigée par M. Beugnet et B. Bohet. On y explore la digitalisation des traces photographiques des histoires meurtries. On l'a voulu très accessible. Bonne lecture!

Rare early views of Hawaii (1860s, probably/mostly H. Chase studio) from Charles de Varigny's own albums (in private hands with his diaries). De Varigny befriended King Kamehameha V and became Hawaii's Minister for Foreign Affairs (1865). Hopelessly hoping for enough research time to work on it...
