Unfortunately they are losing their Lamborghini ride and they need OEM support. Hopefully they can get a bronze driver and jump into GTD. Horrible considering they just gave Lamborghini their first major series win in the Temerario. I’ll still be at the races in my Pfaff gear next year.

Pfaff Motorsports will pause its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship program at the end of the season, amid a renewed focus on supporting up-and-coming Canadian drivers and new developments at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The Pratt Miller LPM2 car has been a trying experiment for the company. They formed the program to showcase their abilities to run a GTP program. It’s been a work in progress to say the least.

Mike O’Gara, IndyCar’s VP of Competition and Race Engineering told Bob Pockrass the IR28 is designed to have power assist steering. (Electric power steering like on many road cars). They will test it for determination of future use. Cue all the Indy olds whining.

Some things about the new car I’m not a fan of: The aeroscreen still looks like it’s just thrown on the car. I’d rather see the slope of the front nose incorporated into the aeroscreen. Still no power steering. It’s dumb to not have it. It’s not overly dramatic. It looks okay, not great.

The commentators mentioning WRT’s program compared to RLL last year. WRT wasn’t going to do much better in IMSA this season. They didn’t have the staff and support in place. Where it IS benefiting is their WEC program. They now have all the data from both programs and the IMSA data helps WEC.
