Now that I am experiencing it myself I will no longer be proposing studies to investigate the impact of heat stress on plants but will instead focus on providing plants with a nice cooling breeze and perhaps a lager
How do we choose tolerant ash trees for controlled breeding? 🌳 With @rbgkew.bsky.social we’re using DNA analysis to confirm each tree’s reproductive role. Leaf samples are now catalogued and being freeze-dried ahead of extraction. Funded by Defra. #LivingAshProject
