really frustrating when someone says something you worked hard on is "really broken" to which point you ask "what is broken?" and they mention like one small thing/detail, or even something wrong sometimes (incorrect assumption, user mistake). careful with words, they matter

a big pet peeve for me is when folks start using the term "final design" too much, particularly expecting that to mean a Figma link. static images are very distant from the final product, and expecting the designer's work to mostly end there is very short sighted.

top 5 feelings in life is discovering a new song that you just want to listen non-stop for the entire day. i always get concerned about running out of them, but similarly happy when i eventually discover one that really sticks! it just happened 🥲

kicking off the day with with a record that i haven't listened for ages! creative, technical, intricate, melodic... a complete package. favorite track by far is "Sun Of Nothing"

sometimes, it feels right to break the norm: most sites/web apps these days use cmd+K as their search keybinding. however, that isn’t super significant for Zed… but cmd+shift+P is! it triggers the Command Palette, a fundamental Zed element. baking product education on the site!

a big pet peeve of mine in this American-dominated world we live in is when, in location inputs, they write City, State. like: "this is obviously in the US, everyone knows"; where the rest of the world writes "City, Country", sorry to all my American friends 😅

What is that _one thing_ that keeps you from being able to daily drive @zed.dev? What was the _one thing_ that made you drop it if you already have it a shot?

i'm building a job posting platform during off-hours, exploring different pieces of tech, and it's been super fun ensuring the whole thing can be navigated super well just using the keyboard. love adding keybinding affordances!

Just made my first ever commit right from @zed.dev 's new commit UI 🚀 Should be coming soon – hopefully within the next few weeks for y'all! 👇 for more details

really, really glad i only started binging Severance this past week. imagine waiting for almost three years after that goddamn cliffhanger, jesus. good show, after all. kinda seeing some Lynchian elements on it. but maybe just biased due to mourning him. 🙁

no show has impacted me emotionally more than The Bear, i guess. three episodes left to wrap up season 3 and I'm a wreck already, goddamn

- Sunday morning: it feels so good to close out all of my open, bookmarked tabs. peace of mind! - Monday, 2 PM: 43 tabs already... damn it.

a curse of Open Source projects is that it's just really hard to separate time for work & time for non-work life stuff. the stream of notifications, issues, and PRs is just absolutely never-ending. it's been a real challenge navigating this 😕

An unspoken truth about the design process: The best work happens when a designer rides a flash of inspiration, and imbues all of their personal joy and curiosity into the design. When you interact with an object made like this, you can feel the enthusiasm given to it. Joy reverberates forward.
