I can’t recall the source (irony), but I remember an article that discussed the idea of ‘sourceless’ facts i.e. you follow the rabbit hole down and find there is no factual evidence to support the fact itself, you just get this endless chain of sources with nothing at the end.
I was thinking about the web and coffee. Despite StarbuckNeroCostafication there are still great indy roasters and shops out there. There’ll always be a subset of people that prize craft and quality above all else. We should hold on to that during these slop driven times
I’ve been wondering if the success of AI summaries has been partly due to the fact that a lot of websites are just unpleasant to visit because of ads. I can imagine a lot of users thinking “great! I don’t have to scroll for 10 minutes and crash my phone to get that pie recipe”
Currently building an agent to fulfil the role of a "content editor". I have a difficult relationship with this stuff. We see agents being deployed by "TheGreedy" to replace real people. But in this context, I'm building for a non-profit that simply can't afford the people in the first place
