If you don't have Amazon Prime, you have to wait five days for your stuff to arrive. But if you pay for Amazon Prime, you get your stuff in two days plus three days of shipping delays.

At first, it doesn't seem like Boston and Chicago would have a lot in common: one, the embodiment of the east coast; the other, quintessentially midwest. But let me tell you the story of the unusual way they uniquely spell the word "socks," and what color the locals believe those "sox" should be…
Nice try, spider that built a web across my baby's stroller.
Thanks for the kind words, Dave! Great timing; I just released another update: - Daily puzzles now stay available until next week - There's a new stats page - A revamped "Highlight related tiles" option to help find moves And of course, Mondays are the best day to start playing. 🤓 playtupo.com

We are living in perhaps the most dangerous era ever for people who don't know the difference between rogue and rouge.
My son, in second grade, still has a wildly disproportionate idea of what things deserve apologies. He'll walk up to us like "I have the hiccups, so I'm sorry if I interrupt you by accident." But I fully believe he could also run over one of us with a dirt bike and go "AWWW you ruined my trick."
Gentle reminder not to count on the order of array items for anything important, because some idiot might come along and rearrange them and break everything. Sincerely, The idiot

TIL there's a Safari bug that messes up border radius on outlines with negative offset. Image shows the same button in Chrome, FF, and Safari. Chrome and FF render the inner outline with the proper radius to match the outer border; Safari doesn't, so the corners are visibly mismatched.
My most millennial trait is my willingness to spend 15 minutes slogging through an online form just to avoid a five-minute phone call.

Years of having pets and kids has given me an uncanny superpower: I can detect when any smaller creature within 50 yards of me needs to go to the bathroom.
In 2012, I was working in a restaurant that had done a Groupon, and everyone who bought it came in on the very last day it was valid. It was madness. This old drunk guy got super pissed his order was taking forever and yelled at the manager, "I'M GONNA BLOG YER ASS!" I just love that sentence.
Hey, friends—I'm excited to share my new project! I call it Tupo. It's a daily logic puzzle with roots in sudoku, where every cell has to have a unique color-number combo. Give it a shot if you like daily logic games, and let me know what you think! playtupo.com

I got "balaclava" and "baklava" mixed up again, and now everyone can tell I'm the guy who ruined dessert.
I remember listening to Chris Hayes' podcast at the start of Trump II and his guest talking about how the Brazilian movement that defeated Bolsonaro had a saying "We're not letting go of anyone's hands." Way too many people think it's okay to let go of some peoples' hands.
a lot of people act like there's a trade being offered where we give up trans athletes in sports and in exchange fascism is defeated forever
“These five paragraphs of Claude’s PR description could have been a sentence” is a the new “this meeting could have been an email”
Today I had to leave work, drive to my in-laws' to pick up jumper cables, drive back home, put my wife's car into neutral, manually push it out of the garage, and jump-start it, all in a ~30 minute window. And honestly, all of that was still less stress than MacOS and Safari have given me today.
If Pepsi started making their drink more like Coke, they wouldn't gain Coke drinkers; they'd lose Pepsi drinkers. Everyone who likes Pepsi would've lost every reason they ever had to buy it, and Coke drinkers would just keep on drinking Coke anyway. This is a post about Democrats moving right.
I was worried if my comic is perhaps too self indulgent, but then I remembered the words of Björk and now I need to make it even more self indulgent 🥰
American programmers should invent a C language variant called Shining C. Then we could all migrate our code from C to Shining C.
I'd actually go a step further: There is no fence. Neutrality is the emperor's new political stance; you can wear it around your palace all you want, but sooner or later, you walk outside and it's so obvious that you've *already* chosen a side, even a child can see it.
The thing about riding the fence is eventually you run out of fence. Inevitably you're gong to have to stand for something.
I understand each of these words in isolation but I have no idea what they mean together in this order.
