Here's the time I tricked the cast and audience at Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark into saying "Thank you, Spider-Man" by telling them it was because Amazing Spider-Man was ending with issue #700, but really it was for another, secret video about Marvel killing off Spidey.

Just came back from the Marvel screener for #SpiderManBrandNewDay No spoilers. Loved it. Some people are calling it the "most grounded Spider-Man" movie of the current franchise. I can see that. To me, it was the Spider-Man movie that felt the most like a comic book brought to life.

I like it so much better w/ the green face held in the green sky. Really makes the Batman Beyond figure pop. If you've never seen this (it's on HBOMax), the "uncut version" w/ all of the original blood & violence included is the ver. you need to see. The replacement scenes they added ruin the film.

I remember my early years at Marvel. The end of the 387 Park Ave. S. era. Before Marvel went public. People liked hanging out with each other at lunch, after work, and a big group of us would even meet up for brunch on Sundays. And on Halloween people dressed up all day and there was a party after.
Marvel & DC were the reasons I moved to NYC over 36 years ago. What'd be keeping me here? Oh, right. Family and friends. :-P
This is the 1 and ONLY pg they could show that wouldn't spoil ANYTHING of a story I've kept in my back pocket for 8 yrs. I was WAITING for an issue as big and as important as ASM #1000 for this tale to (hopefully) find a home. Can't wait for you to see it in Sep. Every panel by Marcos is GOLDEN!!!
