Ice Cream Man seems like a fun, if very gory, perhaps somewhat over the top, slasher movie. The trailer was gripping and wel cutl, but I very strongly disagree with the message - the kids in it are NOT “having a meltdown” - seems irresponsible to conflate a neurodivergent tantrum with dismemberment

“Tariffs are a favoured diplomatic tool of President Trump and Reform could face significant legal challenges if it follows suit” (page2) Farage is a desperate, vindictive bullshitter who only appeals to racists with no idea how the world and trade and law actually work. Cos that’s a bit hard.

Farage's tariff plan on migrants

Reform UK would impose tariffs on countries that refuse to accept the return of migrants, under plans expected to be announced this week.

Nigel Farage will outline new policies, including levies on goods and services, that would force countries to agree to deportations.

The party also proposes banning their airlines from British airspace.

The escalation of Reform’s hardline deportations policy comes as the Conservatives embrace a new political strategy designed to recapture voters with a focus on the economy.

Some 20,900 people have crossed the Channel in small boats this year, down about 40 per cent on the same period in 2025, according to official figures. Since 2018, more than 211,000 have made the crossing, of whom about 9,700 had been returned by June.

Reform intends to impose visa bans for people who legally want to visit the UK from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Eritrea, Sudan and Somalia until the countries agree to take back illegal migrants and foreign criminals, under plans announced in February. The list includes several of the countries with the largest numbers of asylum seekers in the UK in recent years.

Farage promoted Brexit benefits, and now won't #ApologiseForBrexit despite making us all poorer Now he wants more privstisaisation Perhaps he could explain how it made any of these public utilities cheaper, more efficient, less polluting, more accountable ... meme via Barry Lloyd

NHS faces exodus of ADHD and autism services staff to private clinics. Low wages have caused brain drain, loss of skilled staff. Part of privatisation of the NHS by stealth. Private sector picks up NHS contracts, profiteers, higher cost to public purse, increases NHS queues.

It's not just the endless bill increases. It's not just that 1/3 of your bill goes to paying shareholder dividends and servicing debt. It's not just the 1/2 million sewage discharges in one year. It's the corrupt system, which rewards water bosses for failure, that people can't stand.

This is really not that far from Running Man (they even have electro gloves). How long before live streamed executions become a Saturday night game show? And if the criminal being run isn’t quite evil enough, we can just AI deepfake them doing awful things to justify the punishment 🏃
