Looking at Ayako Wakao's 1950s ad campaign for National, it is reasonable to assume it was the unspoken motivation for the brothers in Yasujiro Ozu’s “Good Morning” (1959). 若尾文子が1950年代にナショナルのテレビの紙広告に起用されていたことを考えれば、小津安二郎の『お早よう』（1959年）で兄弟が欲しがるテレビがナショナル製であるのも、想像に難くない。

Wakao Ayako and Mizutani Yutaka in Izakaya Moheji 2, a TV special aired in 2013 on TBS. Wakao would appear again in the 4th installment of the series in 2015, to this day, her last role on the small/big screen. She was 80 years old at the time, but she had lost none of her charm or aura...

When Andrei Tarkovsky was preparing for the filming of "Solaris", he had hoped to use the Expo '70 in Osaka as a filming location. However, delays prevented the start of filming in time, so Tokyo in 1971 became the Russia of the future.
