looking down a gravel footpath criss-crossed by light and shadow. on the left on a shadowy pole beside the path is a tiny bird, caught in a patch of bright sunlight

#bnw #cmount #photography at mt Auburn cemetery yesterday

bnw photo of the statue from the previous photo, its lichen-smattered face caught in sunlight, surrounded by a deep shadow in the stone cowl. in the background are very blurry bright white headstones.

this spider should win an award #bnw #cmountlens

a perfectly placed spiderweb catches the light; its obvious that it has also caught dozens of small flies/gnats.

creatures at horn pond the other day #bnw #cmount #photography

a cormorant sitting on a dead branch that's extended out over the water

a squirrel posing on top of a pointed tree stump

a raccoon asleep in the shadows of its evergreen nest, high up in a tree. we saw at least 2 juveniles moving around and trying to wake parent up even though it was only afternoon.

a picture of a small bush in the sun; at the end of each otherwise-bare stick/branch are groups of bright green leaves above a single layer of deep red leaves
