Noticed I missed multiple texts and notifications due to this new AI feature on Android. @newsfromgoogle.bsky.social android has been a platform for almost 20 years, the notifications worked perfectly until this mistake ridden AI feature was added. It shouldn't be forced on by default.

Hey #google, stop forcing Gemini into your services. Especially because you admit that it doesn't work well when you try to trick people into giving Gemini access to all of their information. Honestly, it should be illegal to push updates that take functionality away from products people paid for
