Android scoped storage sucks ass. It's my fucking hardware let me do what I want with it Google you fucks.
Another thing I've liked about linux is some of the baked-in command line tools. I've started using wget and rsync for large downloads and file transfers which are a lot more reliable (and rsync doesn't lock up the damn file manager)
The way "you're absolutely right" as a phrase that -before LLMs- I'd feel entirely neutral about now fills me with visceral disgust.

Despite having been playing roguelike deckbuilders for years at this point, deck thinning of any sort for some reason continues to push against my intuitions, even though I'm well aware what a strong strategy it is.
Calling people who are anti-book-burning pearl-clutchers is a hell of a take but then again you do need to have a considerable amount of brain damage to be an AI bro.
Captive being the operative word. I expect preaching to a plane full of passengers is about as effective at converting people to Christianity as PETA is at converting meat eaters to veganism.

Often think about the real genuine harm generative AI can and is going to cause, and then having to mentally adjust how bad things truly are when stuff like this happens.
This thumbnail and video title manage to capture so many things that guarantee I'd never click on the video that it's almost impressive. Like it was built in a lab in an attempt to create the most unwatchable video of all time.

I've been using Linux Mint for a while now and honestly I have zero regrets migrating from Windows 10. Anything I can't do in Linux (which for me is a very few things), I can just spin up a Windows container. The main annoyances that persist are Linux's folder structures and permission system.
I haven't played Project Zomboid yet (backlog) but now and again I check to see how close it is to the big NPC update and it still seems a bazillion years away. It's 2026 and most NPCs in games are still so static and lifeless. AAA gaming should be moving towards more emergence, not more polygons.
Reseated my GPU, cleaned the pins, ensured the GPU is properly seated and secured in place. Updated some system settings with some bullshit to stop it falling off the bus. If I get one more fucking system freeze after all this I'm going to become the joker.

The anti-woke hate-click crowd are losing their minds over how well it's doing. I'm completely indifferent to this movie and couldn't care less whether it succeeds or fails, but seeing the broken brains and grifters malding about it because it didn't "go broke" is still entertaining.

Maybe I just need to give it more time but I can't seem to vibe with Vampire Crawlers yet. Not as a deckbuilder nor as a hack-and-slash type experience. I think the game's trailer sold me on a different pacing. You can definitely play it that way but as an optimizer I'm not playing at that pace.

I don't think you appreciate how much the body actually loses water during higher temps until you're drinking 2 or so more litres a day to compensate. My thirst has been off the charts for the past few days.
ARMSX2 (PS2 emulator on android) release update frequency is ridiculous. Currently the best option has been NetherSX2 (a sort of fork of AetherSX2, but AetherSX2 is closed source, so updates are limited, and AetherSX2 was abandoned by the dev), but I can see it being overtaken in like 6 months.
