So that's that. Revolver joined me on my train journey tonight. My first listen. I've scribbled down thoughts here not to be taken too seriously. First thoughts are that it's so eclectic. Such a mix of styles and sounds. Also was there ever really Lennon and McCartney or was it Lennon or McCartney?

I did a thing on the 50th anniversary of Roxy Music's debut. My usual mix of hyperbole and wonder yet ultimately focussed on the performances of the songs I was able to uncover. You can keep your Starman, Roxy Music doing this on Top Of The Pops must have blown millions of tiny minds.

I was two years old when this was released yet it feels like it existed for most of my childhood and I know it word for word. The power of radio when that's all there was I guess. One of those pop record time machines. Wonderful.

I bang on about Sweep, the internet has given him fresh legs as it were. He's unconditionally funny. Yet kudos should be given to Matthew Corbett who could be quite subversive. There is an episode of Sooty & Co that features Iron Maiden's drummer. This is brilliant.
