Just been informed that my cosmic/sci-fi short story didn’t make The Bridport Prize shortlist this year, but I’m glad I sent it in. This is an incredibly prestigious (and therefore extremely tough) competition, and I’m still humbled by the story I submitted last year ending up as a finalist.

I bought this a while ago and finally watched it today. I think I was in need of a life-affirming movie, and this certainly hit the spot. It has its flaws but, then again, so does life. Genuinely loved it.
