She wrote a handful of the greatest songs ever written, and the first thing so many people think of is not those towering achievements, but how good a person she was and how many people’s lives she improved

Mike Standish@mikestandish.bsky.social · 2w agoMy grumpy old man opinion is that baseball isn’t boring and doesn’t need to be fixed and I’m relieved that my six year old prefers to watch actual baseball, even if that means the Seattle Mariners.

Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Carney was ready to sign a deal with someone who can’t be trusted. He was prepared to pay for the illusion of certainty. This broke down over price.
