Diagrams, etc. Author, cycling cartoonist. Best work is in my free newsletter: https://diagramclub.substack.com/
My latest newsletter. There are bicycle racing cartoons, transport maps and signs, a summer playlist, hand-drawn paragraph dividers and a reasonable amount if nonsense. diagramclub.substack.com/p/087-before...

I love @davewalker.bsky.social’s funny Diagram Club posts about love of cycling and SO MUCH other stuff. Since it’s Tour de France this week, I’ve posted his diagram here (hope he doesn’t mind) but so much more at the link: open.substack.com/pub/diagramc...

Tech question. This is the sort of internet speed I get on my Mac mini (but it varies hugely). Phone on same wifi is 87mbps. Who do I get to help me with this - to be honest pretty close to giving up as I don’t understand tech support advice and can’t afford a new computer.
I'm selling various bicycles, if anyone who could get to south Essex to pick up might be interested. All under £231. Won't post all the details here - if you'd like more info get in touch and will send it.
Might be of interest to some of you. A video from China, made by PACS, the people who invited me there last autumn. It shows how to economy in Shanxi province, one of the world's biggest coal producing areas, is transitioning to tourism www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-2j...

A cartoon from a little series I've drawn about creativity. This is for everyone who says "I'm not creative". Maybe, just maybe, the evidence says otherwise.

Came to Copenhagen, and by sheer carefully-planned coincidence my favourite band were playing. Phosphorescent - entirely brilliant.
Some news. I’m stepping down from drawing cartoons for the Church Times. It’s been a privilege to do so for 21 years, and they’ve been brilliant, but it’s time. I’ve written more about this in my newsletter open.substack.com/pub/diagramc... . (Subscribe there if you’d like to follow what I do next.)
Newsletter just published (Diagram Club 078): - Creativity diagram about getting started - Does building more roads = more traffic? (Yes) - How do you get on with varifocal glasses? - Video of the little foxes who live under our shed open.substack.com/pub/diagramc...

So I bought a second hand tumble dryer. Turns out the box on my bike was almost the perfect size. If anyone asks, @davewalker.bsky.social made me do it.
Introducing a new cartoon project: Creativity Diagrams. Been a cartoonist for 20 years, trying (and quite often failing) to be creative. A series of cartoons on the topic in my newsletter every week. More about it: davewalker.com/creativity/ Newsletter: diagramclub.substack.com/p/072-introd...
In some places we’d call this a reel, but not here, I don’t think. It’s my ‘Things that help me’ diagram, zipping past at a speed that doesn’t quite allow you to read it. [For an A4 printable version subscribe (free) to diagramclub.substack.com and I’ll send it.]
New cartoon: Things that help me (some of which might help you). It’s a note to myself, essentially. If you’d like a printable A4 pdf version subscribe to Diagram Club (link below) and you’ll be sent it. (Existing subscribers: It’s coming very soon.)
It's publication day for The PCC Strikes Back, my latest book, published by @canterburypress.bsky.social. It's collection no 9 of my cartoons from the Church Times. Photos taken at The Cafe, aka Essex Wildlife Trust Langdon, where lots of the cartoons were drawn. A link to buy the book is below.
Love this, from my friends Jane and @andrewgraystone.bsky.social, who open up their home for asylum seekers to stay.
“Anyone who needs me to be their neighbour is my neighbour.” Tune in to Songs of Praise at 1.15pm on BBC One this Sunday to hear from our hosts Andrew and Jane, and how opening their home is a key part of their faith.
Posting (with considerable apprehension) my TEDx talk. Topic: My case for cycling as a way to mitigate against climate change. The talk didn't happen quite as originally planned, so it was filmed, in China and Essex. Please forgive any imperfections in my delivery. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9cT...

Drawn last week, when I wasn’t doing that well. For anyone who is struggling a bit, for whatever reason. It’s OK to have days when we just get by.
