Perhaps we need to do more to point drivers toward safe and legal parking spaces.
I recently took a neighbour's toddler to nursery by cargo bike ad a favour. They LOVED it. Apparently they now ask every morning if they can go in the bike instead of being driven. Life is just more fun by bike.

Make it safer for families to walk and cycle to schools please! Use school streets or LTNs, and encourage a bike bus to make it fun. Then you give children independence and an appreciation of cycling that will stay with them for life.

The Government should drastically cut tax on alcohol in pubs and restaurants and pay for it by hiking taxes on alcohol for off sales. Social drinking is more of a social good than private drinking.
NYC has created an official reporting app for engine idling, it works well. If the UK was serious about engine idling, and illegal parking, HMG would develop a similar app. There are plenty of concerned citizens who would use it. apps.apple.com/us/app/idle-...
