Aussie. Dev at Microsoft working on Razor and a bit of Roslyn (C# and VB). Just generally a big fan of syntax trees I guess. I like Lego. He/him. 🇦🇺
I've been using Email for at least 35 years. Because I used to put the wash on for Mum sometimes
My wife is so bad at keeping her phone up to date, that she didn't get the alert. Sorry everyone. If aliens come to earth, and the government tells us the only way the planet survives is by everyone doing a jumping jack, we're doomed, she'll have no idea. Also she's unco so would probably fall over.
Decided to learn C# today, fun language so far, easier to pick up then Rust and Avalonia looks promising. Quite exciting!
researched C# recently and it looks like a pretty damn cool language
Just when I thought Blue Sky might be a nice place to be, all of a sudden I wake up to a bunch of soccer content. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HUGE NERDS, STOP SPORTING!
Crap, forgot to set my alarm early, for my 7:05am meeting. Thank god I’ve been doomscrolling since 4:30 and nobody will turn up to the meeting anyway. Phew.
The rest of my family had Nandos for lunch. School holidays suck.
I just worked out that yesterdays Connections purple didn't make any sense to me because I'm Australia. Had to hear an american say it in order to understand. Hate games that are regional like that.
Union types are coming to C#! Unions model closed sets of data shapes, as commonly seen in e.g. wire protocols. In this #MSBuild session replay, Mads and Dustin explore the clean expression of intent and the confidence and elegance that unions lend to consuming code. 🎥 buff.ly/yigYfF4
I used to enjoy playing drums on Guitar Hero World Tour in my youth, so obviously I'm now feeling the incessant draw of purchasing a multi-hundred-dollar electronic drum kit and calling it a hobby (for 5 minutes presumably).
“Based on the hit podcast” Well, burn the whole thing down, it’s gone too far.
I am visiting a brocolli plantation. Oh no it’s just expo night at a high school, my bad.
Just listened to the description of Steve Jobs in this: * Doesn't bathe: Eww gross * Eats only fruit: Well that's quite weird * Walks around in bare feet: Hey, there is nothing wrong with that, don't insult my culture!
All month we are posting preview episodes of Designed in California to the Upgrade feed, so you can get a preview of what the show will feel like when we launch it to the world! We posted the first of our series on the 'Road to the Apple II' today! relay.fm/upgrade/619
Booked a Jetstar flight: My youngest counted as an adult because they'll be over 11, then had to enter their date of birth, then had to check a box indicating they'll be under 15. So they're not a child, but clearly still a child, but you can't tell how old someone is from their date of birth??
A public holiday on Monday in the US? Oh cool. No the PR has only been open for 4 days. It's chill.

Waiting for the doctor. Appointment was half an hour ago. The receptionist has gone home. The door is locked. We are very literally the only people here. Wtf.
My in-laws are in Italy and they keep sending photos of water and old buildings nobody cares about, but every now and then they capture an adorable tiny car and it’s the most wonderful thing. #weirdcarbs
don't use discord, twitter, bluesky, or any other social media exclusively to update your customers of anything... the updates should always *at least* be available on your website. no one should be required to accept another company's TOS because you're lazy
I don't know if you heard, but I have a feeling a new episode of Upgrade is out.
@meziantou.net In www.meziantou.net/blazor-how-t... did you mean "_Imports.razor"?
Here is a video someone made about some command line arguments I deleted the other week, and a nuget package I uploaded. I’m basically famous! youtu.be/i6n-w6Tq7F0?... #nvim #razor #dotnet #roslyn

I don’t need much of a justification to go to the UK, because I love it, but Tom Scott: England is the best tourism film(s) I’ve ever seen.
Developers need to be paid, and based on reputation alone I'm sure this app is fantastic, but a social media app that doesn't even let you like something without a yearly subscription is wild to me.
I could stop listening to The Waitress soundtrack if I wanted, but I'm not going to. I've enjoyed almost every musical I've seen over the years, but there aren't many that make it into my regular listening rotation. Very happy to have discovered a new one.
