I once did a talk about how social networks live and die, and it's usually friction combining with toxicity. Essentially, you cope with the toxicity until some friction, which could be as simple as resetting a password, means you just can't be arsed logging in again.
The fact that these people are clearly incredibly stupid gives me hope that we can push this malign power away in time.

On holiday. We have a rented static caravan and I'm the only person in my family able to perfectly control the shower temperature. I've always been like that since I was a baby when a mysterious old woman visited our house and left a small doll behind. It's a curse I carry well.
We're watching this in a restaurant in Croatia...but they're streaming it and someone nearby has it on terrestrial. Vast majority are supporting Spain. It does make it easy to capture moments though....
Because of an injured muscle in my arse, the usual belts I use are too stiff and could set it off again. So I shopped around and discovered golfing belts. Holy cow! Comfort-tastic! I feel like I've been missing out all these years! I suspect they're a bit "unc".

I've been looking at engagement rates for 'normal' accounts on Bluesky compared to Twitter/X. On the other place many accounts have far more followers... Often 50x, yet their engagement is only 2-3x higher. I believe that per follower, Bluesky gives an engagement level of around 25x more than X.

My wife and youngest still slept under duvets last night! I can't even comprehend that... Finally I found it too stuffy as there was no breeze, so all my tricks failed me and I've been too lazy to get the fans down.
I have to say that my old Volvo V70 is a very well designed car. It's not just about looks, but things like the split cargo net and folding front passenger seat so I can bring home an enormously long box from IKEA. Even stuff like changing lightbulbs is so easy compared to most cars.
