We should be able to easily tell the difference between what's real and what's not — but AI is making that harder every day. I just signed a new law protecting workers by requiring clear disclosures in ads that use AI-generated performers to sell products and services.

More AI protections. Enhanced scale compensation. A path to one pension. Learn more about the ratified TV/Theatrical/Streaming deal in SAG-AFTRA magazine: https://ow.ly/6fP450ZIuAt.

CA Governor Newsom signed SB 1050 into law, a bill that requires advertisers to provide a clear disclaimer when an advertisement uses a synthetic rather than a human performer. Thank you, Gov. Newsom & @senatorashby.bsky.social, for championing #SagAftraMembers and fighting for AI guardrails.

Thank you @governor.ca.gov! Excellent work @msjoelyfisher.bsky.social @davidjolliffe.bsky.social and @sagaftra.org President @iamseanastin.bsky.social in locking in this crucial performer protection law! #SB1050

I've just landed here. I look forward to listening and then occasionally sharing some wit and wisdom. I dont know if we're going to be ok. But, I promise to do everything I can to protect the good we had. And fight to leave this place better than when I arrived. #SAGAFTRA #UnionStrong
