This is a very good crime picture but you can tell it's from the tail-end of the noir period. Two un-noir aspects of this: it has moral clarity, it's pretty clear who the good guys and the bad guys are. The cinematography is bright and flat. Likely for future TV usage. #TCMParty #TheBigHeat

Also: The Max Miller situation serves to remind everyone just exactly who Jim Jordan is too. And what the Republican party is. People who pay lip service to protecting children but who, in reality, sacrifice children's safety in favor of power for themselves. It turns my stomach.
