This is a graph of wishlists gained for Torment Hexus. The big bump is from the Access Ability showcase (thank you @laurakbuzz.bsky.social for running it!). The last seven days are the Steam Next Fest. Seems like the takeaway is that Next Fest, on its own, doesn't give much visibility these days!

Half heartedly clicking around looking for a new swimsuit and half these places are modeling genAI crap on genAI models. I miss the days of sh*t-tastic photoshopped clothes on stock photo people.

A disproportionate amount of my time is spent figuring out when I can go see Project Hail Mary in theaters again. 👎👎

Freelancing is great because sometimes people will jump through hoops just to give you work and other times people will send you a beautifully crafted sorry-but-no-thanks message with someone else’s name still pasted in. 😂

Day two of being problematically sick and I’ve got stuff to do so full-on chemical warfare it is. Pro tip: the store brand cold medicine in an ugly box that costs a fraction of the pretty stuff has the exact same ingredients. Save your money.

I can’t do much work today because I have a cold so I think I’ll take it easy and rearrange the whole house instead.

I'm updating my website and I've settled on this bullet point as an important new addition. GenAI isn't only problematic when it affects me personally, and I'd like the people I work with to know I recognize that.

TikTok’s terms of service spell out very clearly that they use all of your material to train AI, and based on the language it sounds like there’s no opting out. I didn’t see the same language in Instagram’s TOS, but I’m decidedly not an expert. Anyone know of Meta is scraping everything, too?

Twice today I was told I should start using genAI to analyze my work, make self improvement suggestions, and/or create content. No. ☺️
