One of my biggest Steam Frame complaints in my review is the headset's relatively poor battery life compared to the Meta Quest. Alledgedly the latest firmware improves battery life aprox 12%. Not enough to fix my issue, but a welcome improvement nonetheless. Will test soon.

Very important accessibility update just dropped for the Steam Frame VR headset. You can now set it to track (for foveated rendering) a single dominant eye, rather than it requiring two eyes to set a tracking point. You can set which eye to track in by showing advanced settings.

It's been fun watching @laurakbuzz.bsky.social run through FFXIV. And getting to help her through the end of HW was a blast (even if my healing is atrocious for handling Australian ping :D) So much interesting stuff in her future though. Plot only gets wilder from there.

Been really enjoying playing Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. An accessibility thought I had while playing - I can't name another AAA budget kids / family game that supports audio described cutscenes and high contrast mode. Some indie examples for sure, but very little in AAA.

In light of what seems to be happening in games media at the moment, I would like to highlight something that I wish more outlets practised. Don’t grow too fast, such that when the slightest downturn means you have to upturn a whole group of talented folks’ lives overnight with zero notice.

Looking at topics for future Access-Ability episodes, and debating how much trouble I might get in if I made a video about jailbreaking the PS5 to use third party accessibility controllers on it. Might maybe tie it into "Platform publishers should really let A11Y controllers work multiplatform"

URRRRGH, I am SOOOO stuck on FF14 trying to beat the Level 3 Crucible as the Beastmaster, and my autistic brain won't let me get back to the plot while this is incomplete I have stun locked myself into not progressing with the main game because I can't get this dang solo mode thing
