NEO Scavenger, the previous title, was the sort of game where every part of it was intricate, but once you learned enough about it you could absolutely make it dance. Ostranauts has been in development for at least as long, and if you're an imm sim person you should really check it out.

I keep thinking that I want to learn to use the Ostranauts ship editor and introduce my own designs to the game but it's just so fun to start with a coffin and then leave the blueprint of the original vessel intact as you weld the skin and bones of dead ships to your own
