The Gotham Knights show is insane and probably would've been an awful trainwreck, but I almost mourn it since it was basically the last gasp CW had before it became endless Nexstar slop.

In Gotham Knights (2022 video game), in the wake Batman's death, a team of young vigilantes must fight the Court of Owls. Not be confused with Gotham Knights (2023), an unrelated TV series where, in the wake Batman's death, a team of young vigilantes must fight the Court of Owls.

Superboy #26 (1996) featured a letter by a reader named Geoffrey Johns. He theorized Superboy was a clone of Lex Luthor, but an editor responded that wasn't the case. Nine years later, Teen Titans writer Geoff Johns confirmed Superboy is partially a clone of Lex Luthor.

Eddie Berganza knows Superboy's character to a T. It flowed like all the other excellent issues, including his last fill-in, #11. It seems Underworld has already begun to take effect. Black Manta looks quite a bit different. I'm going to miss that old helmet, but Aquaman's new look grew on me, so I hope Manta's will as well. I like the 'surprise' of not seeing King Shark swimming around, drooling like a maniac. Maybe King Shark should eat Rex. I bet a lot of people would like that. Okay, now for some suggestions and stuff. First of all, I'd love to see a meeting between Superboy and Supergirl. It's been a while. Also, chalk up another vote for the Robin/Superboy crossover. Last thought...! I think I know who Superboy is a clone of. How about Lex Luthor? All the pieces fit, and it would have some great ramifications." Now, the editor's reply: "Superboy and Supergirl... check! Robin/Superboy... check! Lex Luthor as DNA donor... Bzzzz! [loud incorrect buzzer] I'm sorry. Two out of three ain't bad, though (Right, Meat Loaf?)."

In real life, Cuca is a Brazilian bogeywoman with Iberian origins. In the DC Universe, for some reason, she's an Indigenous Princess™ named Andira who Sacrificed Her Newborn Nephew™ to an Evil Death God™. (2022) (There are no real life/non-DC records of any "Princess Andira" tale.)

Each equally born into a world of privilege and wealth provided by the land and the ancestors that came before them. Until one day they happened upon Avere, and they found themselves rivals for the love the same man." "Which one of us will have Avere?" The asked while fighting each other with knives. Their queen, holding a blue butterfly, intervened. "The only way to square this triangle will be with the bow and arrow. Whosoever should strike and impale my namesake's butterfly... shall be the victor of Avere's heart." Narration continues. "The warrior sisters readied their arrow... and let them loose, when the timing felt most right! But in the end it was Juraci's arrow which captured the queen's butterfly and won Avere's heart. Soon after the pair was joined, the welcomed a beloved son into the world!"Continued from the previous pages. "As for the contest loser, Andira? She retreated to the forest, consumed with her hatred and jealousy. She cried out in despair to any god that would listen!" But it was Anhangá, the protective spirit of the forest and god of the underworld, that answered. "I hear your pleas and can see into your vengeful spirit," he said. "What you ask is not impossible, but ot give what you want innocent blood must be exchanged." "I will do anything you ask," Andira replied. Narration continues. "And only with his word, Andira, without instruction or advisement, assumed the death god's meaning and stole into the home of Juraci and Avere to murder their newborn son."Continued from the previous pages. "Avere, at last!" Andira, covered in her baby nephew's blood, exclaimed. "Come to me! I have come to claim you for my own..." Avere hit her. Narration ensues. "The first striek came from her deepest love. And then it was the crowd that set upon her. Each blow eagerly seeking justice through violence. After the crowd raged and left her for dead, she would drag her broken body seeking refuge in the forest once more. The path was full of branches and throns ripping away her once-beautiful physique to reveal the true monster which lay beneath." Andira, in the water, demands an explanation from Anhangá. "Anhangá, you have tricked me! I did what you wished and you made me into a monster!" Anhangá replies to her and becomes the new narrator. "I do not like, nor do I serve, humankind. I protect the forest and beings that live within. I took pity on you and gave you the revenge you sought, and in exchange I did you the favor of removing your mortal flesh, revealing your true nature. For this was the blood exchange you agreed upon. But to not despair, for I am in a giving mood, and so will grant you leave with a parting gift from my dear wife Ticê, sorceress and goddess of all that is wicked. It is a tome of spells and secrets. It is yours, but know this... to take it will grant you great powers, but will also curse you for all eternity... to be seen by the eyes of men as beautiful and desirable... by women as dismissible and plain... but the eyes of children and the truest of heart will always see you for what you really are... a scaly, selfish, hideous monster."Black text on a white background. The Coco or Coca (also known as the Cucuy, Cuco, Cuca, Cucu, Cucuí or El Cucuí) is a mythical ghost-like monster, equivalent to the bogeyman, found in Portugal and Spain. Those beliefs have also spread in many Hispanophone and Lusophone countries. It can also be considered an Iberian version of a bugbear as it is a commonly used figure of speech representing an irrational or exaggerated fear. The Cucuy is a male being while Cuca is a female version of the mythical monster. The "monster" will come to the house of disobedient children at night and take them away. Many Latin American countries refer to the monster as El Cuco. In northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, where there is a large Hispanic population, it is referred to by its anglicized name, "the Coco Man". In Brazilian folklore, the monster is referred to as Cuca and pictured as a female humanoid alligator with blond hair. Though this reptilian form resembles the Portuguese coca, a dragon, it actually originates from the 1952's TV show Sítio do Pica-pau Amarelo (1952 TV series). In the only book she appears, O saci (1921), Cuca's description is vague, Monteiro Lobato only states that she had an "alligator face" and "clawed fingers". So, while the first film adaptation, O saci (1951), represented her as an old woman, the show runners of the 1952's show interpreted her as a full alligator. In Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, parents sometimes invoke the Coco or Cuca as a way of discouraging their children from misbehaving; they sing lullabies or tell rhymes warning their children that if they don't obey their parents, el Coco will come and get them and then eat them.

In 2021, DC introduced Yara Flor, an Indigenous Brazilian Wonder Girl who briefly had her own solo series. Upon debuting, Yara was under heavy backlash for being a racist caricature of Indigenous Brazilians (among other racist elements in her stories). Her situation has yet to improve.

Four panels from Future State: Wonder Woman #1. In them, Yara ties up and belittles Caipora, a sacred forest guardian in many Indigenous religions. The imagery of trying up Indigenous women is also frowned upon among Indigenous Brazilians, due to the historical trauma of colonizers doing so.
