Oceans is an all timer for me so I've been very curious to see how Nature shakes up the genre pool. I noted some similarly to how MTG establishes a core framework and builds upon it (and have since learned that @dcrapuchettes.bsky.social used to be a pro player so that checks!)

We’ve been doing a yearly game designer retreat with the same people since 2006. Some wonderful friendships have been built over that time. It’s a little slice of paradise for me, away from the stresses of my normal life.

Back from my favorite event of the year, a game design retreat with some of my favorite people. In addition to some good progress on two prototypes and buying lots of coffee crisps, I also tried my hand at blacksmithing (and that hand was very sore after)

It’s very good. I’m glad we got to play it a second time.

@dcrapuchettes.bsky.social Wonderfule packaging on the new modules for Nature. I did take the sticker off of the box before saying "I should complement the still dedicated to limiting plastic." FYI the game, much like the pecial edition record "King of Limb" from Radiohead is biodegradable.
