Surely VAT shld be charged on luxuries and not on essentials. There is NO VAT, or fuel duty on airfares ( tuppence in APD) or private healthcare. Why not INCREASE VAT or equivalent on luxuries like these and reduce or scrap tax on things deemed essential! #wato @andyburnham.bsky.social
