I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm lovin' it. Originally these were just for fun, but of course I've come up with a #boardgamedesign I might try these on!

Meet my latest game idea: Memaw's Cookie Jar So far play tests have gone fantastic! It's not a kid's game, but my 5 & 6 year old both really like it (probably in part because of the toy cookies). And yes, that is a Pringles can substituting for a cookie jar. :) #boardgamedesign
Coming along nicely. I love them all! ... Except Cecil, but he didn't mind.
Big things are in the works... Big things...
Still thinking about our realtor who got less and less responsive until she fully ghosted us on the house we ended up buying, which was also at the top of our budget. Literally the diamond mines meme.
Tried a new game idea with the kids yesterday. It was a weird middle ground between adult game and kids game that ended up not being great for either. The kids loved it anyway! They've never spent as much time playtesting a design as they did with this one. #boardgamedesign
To anyone who thinks they hate ginger ale, please try something other than Seagrams, Schweppes or Canada Dry, they’re all F-tier ginger ales. To anyone who has and still hates it, you are dead to me.
The whole family watch My Neighbor Totoro last night. It was our first Ghibli film. The kids loved it! My wife really enjoyed it to which I was concerned about. A big hit all around!
This was an image in one of my day job's training modules, presumably reviewed and approved by an actual human™ before sending it out to employees at large. There's a lesson in there somewhere....
Quantum funcertainty: the state of your game idea prior to commencement of playtesting
This was harder than I expected! 1. Breath of the Wild 2/3. Majora's Mask 2/3. Ocarina of Time 4. Wind Waker? 5. Original NES Zelda?
Saw some folks doing their top 5 Zeldas yesterday because of the 40th anniversary. Here’s mine: 1. Wind Waker 2. Breath of the Wild 3. Ocarina of Time 4. Link Between Worlds 5. Minish Cap What are your picks?
This is a great under-the-hood look at game design! My design process usually goes like this:
I started a new design and have a playable version and clear next steps—I'm going to walk through my process here 🎲✂️ Step 1: Quick brainstorming in a digital note. Core gameplay is that each player creates runs of cards in front of them to play "ability" cards, which are also points. ~1 hour.
🎉 I am beyond thrilled to announce that my game Evenglow (née Potion Patch) will debut at GenCon '26 with The Op, with art by Clémentine Campardou (who you might know as the artist behind Wyrmspan, Floriferous, Origin Story and more). This is it, folks. The dream, come true. #boardgames 🎲✂️
Here's my workflow: For every one (1) project I *almost* finish, I get to start two (2) new projects! I call it "the road to endless possibilities"!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: cupcakes are too tall!

I have a light game about being international monkey spies that are trying to collect as much of their target fruit as possible without their secret identity being blown. Which of these names do you like best? • Primate Directive • Mission: Impeelable • Something else (comment) #boardgamedesign
We got a lot of packages leading up to Christmas, so my daughter and I decided to cut out and paint a little fireplace out of two of them. We had a lot of fun and may just have to do "Cardboard Christmas" again next year!

My daughter is really getting into Pokémon now and it got me wondering… What would you say is the best generation of Pokémon games?
You’re telling me the 5 flavors are sweet, salty, sour, bitter and UMAMI? What even is UMAMI? The fact that it has 2 extra syllables let’s me know it’s a FAKE flavor!
