Pinterest is going to make me hot for Barbara Stanwyck or die trying! Interesting that she played "Stella Dallas," a character created by Sylvia Plath's mentor and financial supporter Olive Prouty.

Because of the recent heat wave I wasn't able to walk in the morning for almost two months. I gained weight but also felt creatively sluggish, where I viewed my music with despair and wondered what the hell I was doing. Once I was able to walk again, my head also cleared and I am creatively on fire!

I kinda like Barbara Stanwyck in movies, though to me she's kind of funny-looking. But Pinterest sends me old movie star pics, and I'm like: "Oh! Stanwyck looks good in that shot!" And Pinterest thinks: "He loves Stanwyck! Send him more!" And now my email alerts are all Stanwyck, all the time!

This is where being almost totally unknown is helpful. I released a parody of Beefheart’s “Mirror Man” that was so close to the original, that I realized I could just do the “correct” vocal and put it out again. Ain’t no one gonna complain!
