I haven’t gotten a single assignment request. Trans writers used to be tokenized to write about these things but now that the topic is “mainstream,” those bylines go elsewhere.
You'll all be glad to know that the trans woman, who politely and innocuously brought up a legit concern to trans ally Ken Jennings, only to be met with him being dismissive and smug, has deactivated. Congrats all- you bullied a trans woman off the platform.

One of the saddest, most toxic arguments against trans girls playing sports is, what appears to be, a pretty widespread idea among men that men who are just not quite good enough to dominate the upper tier of mens sports will WILLINGLY TRANSITION SO THEY CAN DOMINATE AGAINST WOMEN.
In just over a year the debate about trans people playing sports went from: Kids should be allowed to play sports with their friends to Even though trans women have never dominated any sport they've been allowed to play post high school, we must ban them all to protect womens sports.
I didn't follow the Michigan dem primary enough to know the ins and outs of the candidates... but on an anecdotal level- at what point does accepting huge amounts of money from AIPAC start to become toxic?
