Fighting fascism requires a realistic analysis of power and force. The right-wing shouldn't feel they can reward their killers and motivate others to kill for them without any consequences. I wrote about the importance of unrelenting actions for @prismreports.org. prismreports.org/2026/02/04/f...

Another way out: Power, force, and far-right rewards for killing

The far-right’s celebration of killing and the state’s complicity in it show that violence is one of America’s sustaining forces

“The last word about revolution was not already written, nor will it be written if we willingly hand ourselves over to forces working to make sure they control what we think.” Columnist @williamcson.bsky.social explains why resistance starts with choosing how we listen, not just how we speak.

Another way out: Finding clarity for resistance

Facing a wave of misinformation and the manipulation of algorithms, resistance starts with choosing how we listen, not just how we speak

Widespread contempt defines the USA these days. The most heartbreaking and tragic situations often seem to get less sympathy than they once did. Instead, many responses center on unflinching callousness and despicable scapegoating, pushing the country further into its spiraling downfall.

In Gaza, the journalist has become a direct target. Carrying a camera here is like wearing a mark on your forehead that reads, “Kill me.” In a new op-ed, Shaimaa Eid honors Anas, Mohammed, & their 240+ companions of truth, killed by the Israeli military since the most recent genocide in Gaza began.

“The decolonization agenda and decolonial politics are closely bound up with the Pan-African one. Therefore, if Africa is ever going to realize its liberatory vision, it must consciously revitalize Pan-African nationalism outside state structures and mainstream institutions…” 1/

There are too many people in the US arguing that they want others abroad to be massacred and destroyed by an administration they feel is “responsible” enough to massacre and destroy.

You can’t “expand access to IVF” and support fetal personhood at the same time🫣 If embryos are “people” from conception, this raises the likelihood of criminalization related to the destruction of embryos, a natural part of the IVF process.

Executive Order, February 18, 2025 title: Expanding Access to In Vitro Fertilization. Text: This executive order fails to address one of the greatest threats to IVF: the anti-abortion ideology
that gives legal rights to embryos and fetuses, which exists in laws and judicial decisions across the country.Trump himself had proclaimed that men and women are 'people' from conception.

An executive order from January 20, 2025 reads: "Female" means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell. "Male" means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.

The ability to have an abortion, a healthy pregnancy, a healthy newborn, and access to IVF are all connected. It is impossible to support one without the other.

People are taking much of this about what the “Founding Fathers” wanted and “checks and balances” too far. This moment is the fulfillment of many of those men's visions. There's no point in pretending they were what they weren't. Fight how you can, but don't reinforce white supremacy in the process.
