Speaking truth to power is one of the most important parts of campaigning. We want to share the stories of 3 small organisations who took on big power, each in the running to win the category at the #SMKAwards2026 in June. smk.org.uk/what-we-do/c...
There is no such thing as "supporting" S/x workers while punishing buyers. Punishing buyers typically means policing them. Policing buyers means surveilling workers. Period. You cannot separate the two. Police surveillance IS policing. So policing buyers IS policing workers.

“Euphoria seems to proudly showcase the salaciousness of sex work to gain viewers and viral moments, all while real sex workers struggle to maintain a voice online amidst censoring legislation.” mashable.com/article/euph...
'Euphoria' made sex work go viral. Real sex workers are still getting censored.
If sex work is everywhere on 'Euphoria,' why is it still being erased online?

The Nordic model doesn't work for one simple reason: It doesn't trust sex workers. The premise of the Nordic model is that sex workers cannot be reliable narrators of their own lives. It reinforces the idea that sex workers don't know what will keep them safe.

This week sex workers went to the French Senate to present a proposed bill to decriminalise sex work, developed by sex workers themselves. France has now had the disastrous Nordic model (client criminalisation) for 10 years. The fight for decrim goes on! 💪
This is a really important article by Frances which is also really relevant to sex workers in the UK - our autumn 2025 report found that a shocking 77% of the 172 sex workers we surveyed considered themselves to be disabled or long-term/chronically ill. decrimnow.org.uk/wp-content/u... (1/x)

A client has been charged with rape in Belgium for not paying a sex worker - this is the first time this has happened in Belgium. Belgium fully decriminalised sex work in 2022/23 and since then has set about instituting much better protections for sex workers, including sick leave and maternity pay.

You may have seen some reporting recently on this attack van driven around Gorton and Denton during the recent by-election…! Green Party policy is to support the full decriminalisation of sex work, which is the best model to protect sex workers’ safety, health and human rights.
This is the van that has been seen outside a polling station in the Gorton and Denton by-election, prompting the Greens to report Labour to the police for allegedly breaching electoral law. The National has not yet been able to confirm who has paid for the van. Pictures: Ujan Natik

Can everyone please write to their MP and ask them to attend the @decrimnow.bsky.social parliament session. Sex work should be decriminalised. The Nordic model that is being proposed puts SWers at higher risk of violence and exploitation, we need full decrim! decrim-email.netlify.app

Sex work decriminalisation saves lives. The government had adopted the UNAIDs target to reduce new HIV transmissions in England to zero by 2030. But evidence shows that the government targets on HIV cannot be met while the criminalisation of sex work continues.
