Getting real sick of slop midwives pleading for a 'respectful discussion' of AI as relates to the arts. Your use of AI to 'make art' is not respectful. It benefits from stolen art, destroys the planet, and does not make you an artist any more than someone driving 26.2 miles is a marathoner.

Saw a post saying "I don't want NSFW accounts to talk about voting, just let me jack off" Buddy, NSFW artists and sex workers are being constantly attacked by a government of nonces trying to distract from their own crimes by pinning the blame on porn. They have the right to speak up about this.

OR, and here me out, reading Discworld would help someone who is criticizing an excerpt from a Discworld novel understand the context of the metaphor and not make half-baked comments about Discworld. It's not an indicator of morality, it's an indicator of understanding what you're criticizing.

JKR became a bigot and the popularity THE HUNGER GAMES failed to stop fascism and some people didn’t conclude fiction consumption/creation wasn’t an indicator of morality but that Other People just read the wrong story.

When I'm writing A&C and I get to a point where I'm not sure what they ought to be doing, the answer is always: bickering. Every time. Not sure how to handle this emotional beat? Bickering. Wrote yourself into a corner? Bickering. Sex scene is missing something? BICKERING.

"By their fruits shall you know them." Not a God fan but Jesus spit facts. I'm getting pretty tired of people acting like their thoughts and feelings are more important than the visible impact of their choices. And yes I'm still mad at my ex.

"Unfortunately, I can't give anyone a view into my heart and mind." Why? Are you unfamiliar with them? Ellison's whole "I'm not allowed to express my specific political opinions here, but trust me" approach is transparent nonsense. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/o...

Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.

Bentley hates the grass when it's long and wet, and for about a week now he's been having accidents in the house because he refuses to stay on the lawn long enough to poop. My next door neighbor, who has made landscaping his entire personality, will be thrilled by my motivation to keep it short.

Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli. I'm autistic. If I ever enjoyed a film, I've seen it more than six times. But for the sake of a real answer here ya go
