A man was dragged from his car after ICE showed him a warrant for someone else and refused to check his ID to see his identity.
I’ve had two eye surgeries this summer and as a result have been reduced to a homebound complaining bag of goo. Now that I’m starting to feel better, I’m getting ready to rip shit up this fall. I need action ideas.

It really hurts to read this. Don’t Look Up came out in my most active climate resistance (as in, do stuff that can get you arrested) period. It was exciting to see a motion picture about climate change… but now it feels like the efforts we all expended were for naught. Sorry for the doomerism.

Now the window is “brace yourself.” *I remember doing media for it and meeting elected officials in the U.S. and UK and being stunned how little clue or care about climate they had. It was scary.
Contemplating diving into the AI battle at work. Is it worth fighting the bros who are destroying my four decades of experience in technical content development? Or should I skulk in a dark corner until the pink slip inevitably comes?

They shut down main street for a July 4 parade here in my small Vermont town. Until the parade kicks in, there’s no traffic noise - no big trucks, no revving motorcycles. For an hour a year, it’s bliss.
