Interesting that almost all analysis of Xbox in freefall completely ignores an organized boycott intended to harm the company financially. Meanwhile, multiple news stories on the home page all month about PlayStation boycotts that haven't even happened yet.

No Patrick, “Death of the Author” is not a way to remove the creator from their work. It was an essay arguing for critics of a work to use their own interpretations rather than the author’s when discussing the work in question.
My brother once told me: "caring too much won't bring you anywhere". He didn't invite me to lose my moral compass. What he meant is: caring too much about what everyone around you thinks will inevitably nail your feet down. Keep you forever at Page 1. He was right. I worry much less now.

As a New Yorker this hurts. While Metropolis and Gotham are originally inspired by the Big Apple, Marvel's heroes live here. It's as much a touchstone as any individual character. Hard not to take this move as an FU to my city on a spiritual level.
On a more serious note, this is the end of an era for comics publishing, and possibly a sign of things to come for American publishing more generally. NYC is no longer the epicenter of the book universe. There are literary agents in LA and Iowa City now! That's a seismic shift.

Deciding the name for a project is... Hard. You want it to be impactful, you want it to tell an audience something, you want it to be catchy and memorable. Sometimes you spend days mulling and at times, you have the right idea immediately... But still spend days mulling before you realize it.
