⚔️ I've sins aplenty, aye. But regrets? Not so much. ▸ Del/Fray [ he/him, white ] 21+ ▸ Xenoblade, FFXIV, OCs, etc. ▸ Fray Myste @ FFXIV (& more) ▸ may post various spoilers, you have been warned. ⚔️ https://fray.crd.co/

they already share a body so literally nothing changes lmao ...though thinking about my one other guy who is in a relationship. seeing Scarlen get to experience being a normal guy for once, and Leofard having to deal with being a building-sized dragon would be Very Funny

#wolqotd liked a lot of the responses to this and wanted to take it a step further, what if your wol traded bodies/identities with their significant other for the day?

lrt real shit. people who use AI for stuff are cowards. especially using it to research information. they don't see the fun in researching a topic and then crawling down a rabbit hole of hundreds of books & websites and coming out the other end with a bizarrely solid knowledge of theoretical physics

I don't purposely hand out OC trauma for no reason—it has to serve some narrative purpose for me, else it just feels like pointless torture. Most of my guys' trauma is a result of story beats that tie into multiple other angles of the plot I'm writing, it's always fun to tie things together imo!

Be honest. Did you traumatize your original character for the sake of character development? Was it for better or for worse? #OCASK #OCQOTD #OCSKY

honestly underrated that the sequence of stormblood>shadowbringers>endwalker gave us "oh this very small steppe tribe has extremely specific views on reincarnation and the afterlife that strongly contradict doman and eorzean beliefs" snowballing into "it's the most accurate metaphysical belief"

Well, uh.... since Sydney is gone, Fray is taking the spotlight for EC & the foreseeable future. mostly, he's taking over the role Sydney left behind, while also investigating the winterers & trying to find a way to get Sydney back (if he's still alive). these are all connected I promise

#WoLQotD | #WoLQuestion ✨ Are you developing the plot for how your WoL/OC's story continues in EC? Do they grow wiser? Do they have more angst? Is there something they crave in the 4th?

I have my Big Three™ (Sydney, Fray, Ontos) which get most of the lore I put into this game, but I have a small amount of supporting cast as well—they rest are mostly side characters, but they do get their times to shine (mostly Scarlen, as he handles most of the side content that Sydney doesn't do).

#wolqotd | #wolquestion This one is for the players, how many WoLs/OCs do you have and how many of them are fleshed out?

To be honest, I don’t care if people wanna skip. That’s their choice, I’m unaffected. What DOES concern me is the notion that if a skip exists, the story will start trying to accommodate those that did. Call me a jerk, but I don’t want the plot to be written for those that didn’t “catch up.”

I really don’t think saying that people who want to skip most, if not all, of the story in a story-focused game will not actually really enjoy FFXIV is a hot take at all, yet people act like you’re some sort of gatekeeping lunatic if you say so.
