So...I just finished session 9 of the duet Pirate Borg campaign I run for my wife. Her PC fell into an underground lake, awoke an eldritch abomination, tried to summon the Kraken, almost failed but made a deal with the Devil, and then barely managed to escape. It was a fun session. #osr #pirateborg

I've been working on my own setting for a while now, hopefully for an open table campaign even. Initially I planned on using Swords&Wizardry for it, then I started making my own system (as any OSR GM does)...but now that I've read Shadowdark something clicked. I think it might be what I need.

Middle-earth Hexcrawl Dashboard

A while back, when juggling all the materials I needed to run a game, I had the idea for and mocked up a proof of concept of a **hexcrawl dashboard** --something that had everything I needed to run a game in a single view. Last week, Mick of Advanced Mystery & Manners did the yeoman's work of making a hexcrawl dashboard for the Middle-earth Hexcrawl - at least as much as has been released so far. I'm sharing it with their permission. Behold! --- Click the image to check it out Just click a hex, and the key appears. If you need an encounter or rumour, those will generate in the same window. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the hard work Mick put into this. For folks who want to run Lore with adventures in the Shire, this makes it _so easy._ Everybody say "Thank you, Mick!"

I wrote a short little B/X D&D sword & sorcery rules hack. If you like Thieves' World, The Black Company, Lankhmar, and that sort of thing... and you love some good old fashion B/X, then check it out. All PCs level 7, no clerics, no demi-humans (probably), dirty city and crypt vibes. #OSR
