Which wouldn't be hard - there are whole books of them!
This stuff is all just warmed over Descartes without God as an escape hatch.

The cost of starting up a new project or idea is just suddenly near zero and it's too goddamn easy to spend a weekend typing away and seeing Stuff Happen. Often productive stuff! But it's definitely somewhat addictive and makes the cost of changing to a fresh New Idea also near zero.
Buttadeus@thewanderingjew.bsky.social · 2d agoInstead, I think, the dopamine hit is that they can do a lot of interesting things very rapidly, and it can start feeling like all kinds of OTHER things are possible, and you can start getting into a loop of seeming wildly productive.
Matinee showings with lower volume and closed captioning to bring your baby to, it's a growth market.
The single most useful part of LLMs after code work is being able to point them at a subject and say "explain this to me step by step like I'm simple" and then pushback and force them to cite each part until you actually understand the original piece.
Basic thesis: quality didn't decline across the board, instead we got a new tier of mostly disposable stuff that people have access to. The expensive and durable stuff is just more expensive, hidden away off the highway or on bespoke websites instead of Amazon and Ikea.

Max Dubler 🏳️🌈@maxdubler.com · 3d agoI think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
More 40k posting: the fact that they've hired on Mike Flanagan to work on the Amazon show is a very good sign, but also I think one that will probably make a lot of people mad because it indicates they have correctly identified that you go for a Requiem Infernal style story, not bolterporn.
I honestly think Civil War might be one of the worst modern event comics in terms of vision, beyond all the legitimately awful ones, because it was just flat out incorrect in a way that comics cannot support and had to forcibly lobotomize most of the arguments and cast to get around that.

The sign of a good mystery novel is when you can basically put together the pieces at the 40% mark but there's just enough you aren't sure enough that you're relying on genre signals. The sign of a bad plot is when it's all on rails from the 30% mark and nothing excites from there.
