you’re not wrong. I miss Saturday morning cartoons and random movies in the afternoon. 
Brendel@brendelbored.bsky.social · 3d agoIt’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
the elites who run our society took notice of this and its scared the shit out of them

The fuckin Ganga was running clear water for the only time in my lifetime because for 2 weeks nobody threw garbage in it. The canals in Venice had fish.
It's starting to look like now the best hope for an anime to get a physical release is for its license to expire so AnimEigo or Discotek can rescue them
I'm always amazed when I learn that by nature of being predominantly black and white, a lot of manga authors don't think about the color scheme of characters till they have to. (And then there's Araki, who has flat out said none of his characters have set colors, so he can color them whatever)

Julie🍉@julieybm.bsky.social · 4d agoPower Rangers is such a weird title because it was produced by one of the greediest, most horrible people on the planet, but also features the hardwork of genius directors (Sakamoto) and a cast of underpaid actors learning and shooting fight choreography in a single day.

I've never really gotten into Lupin III. I know Part 1 is highly recommended because of Miyazaki...but that Pink Jacket 80's series seems like it'd be more my bag
