So early to Blue Sky they don't even allow underscores. I like beer, data, and multivariate blah-blahs. 2x Guinness world record holder in nonsense (5 person half and full marathon)

per usual, this is a pizza account. Vaguely New Haven-ish. Blood orange cheddar, mozzarella, ricotta, squash blossoms (all obtained from the farmers market). Olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon zest

Today I officially became an academic* of our times: a pretty clear plagiarism case of one of my preprints turned into someone else's conference submission. Truly blessed that my work has *finally* been recognized and appreciated! *I'm no longer in academia

we all know by now what this account is all about purple kholrabi, yellow squash, spring(early summer?) onions, fruilano, tallegio, celery salt, korean red pepper flakes. All on a particularly uncooperative dough (which is why we pivot to pans, kids)

In 2019, scientists velcro'd 3D glasses to European common cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis) They didn't do this just to make them look cool as fuck, but in order to study their vision. Using a 3D theatre made for the cuttlefish, they were able to test if cuttlefish have stereo vision (they do!)

Our PhD student Kennedy Orwa, who studies applications of AI to health care, was hastily deported today to Kenya along with his 13-year-old son without opportunity to speak to legal counsel. King 5 reports that he held a valid visa that was rescinded without explanation.

I like to read comics to disconnect. And then the new (Marvel) Ultimates goes and throws some LaTeX typesetting in the proper orientation for the character but backwards for the reader and I'm now just really stressed this won't compile correctly. I am not having a good time right now!

1/ Per occasional and sporadic reminder, this is a pizza account. In the last 8 days, I made 20 pizzas, 13 of them on Friday the 13th. All of them a regionally specialized style of Massachusetts: the south shore bar pie. Let's take a look at most of them, specific pizzas in the thread

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember: - Organized a city wide general strike - Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence - Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE - Flipped public opinion against ICE

@fishtopher.bsky.social has great advice. I gave today to Annex Cat Rescue (annexcatrescue.ca). They do wonderful work. They helped a beautiful singing (screaming) lion find a home and helped me find my best (screaming) little buddy. Cat tax paid below.

Fishtopher, a classic brown tabby cat with green eyes, lays on a white floral comforter. He faces the right and looks relaxed but alert.
