We were told by everyone around us, including the “strangers” in and out of his room at MSKCC hospital in NYC, that last weekend, of the profound love they saw and felt between us. Derek was / is my home. He is extraordinary💜
But I am grateful he is now at peace and no longer suffering. I have peace that nothing was left unsaid between us.
