I complain about (in)accessibility & bad customer support. Helping devs achieve fluency at exercism.org. Building complex software at delftsolutions.nl. On the spectrum. Cancer Survivor (x3) 👨🏽‍🦽 @sleeplessbyte / @LookingForAmy almost everywhere

If they actually cared deeply they'd all resign. This group of people, their actions, and everything that has come after is about the worst thing that has happened for our community in quite a while. As far as I am concerned this can burn to the ground and die.

@joel.drapper.me Yooooo. Sorry I rolled away *if you recalled* at EuRuKo. I did wanna chat, butttt we had reservations for dinner! Thank you for all the well pointed comments on the current issue in our community, and thanks for the workshop at the conf!

I stopped using BlueSky because of this. 13/15 issues (I stopped reporting after that) are still open, nothing marked as planned. One of the closed issues was silently reverted without any response from the developer who did that why they did that. Sure-fire way to make people feel second class.

I hope that Bluesky Social hires someone to improve the accessibility foundation of BlueSky. Right now it's basically horror to use with my screenreader. Slapping role tags and aria-label tags on everything, mostly incorrectly. Using only a keyboard? Too bad, it won't work well. It's kinda sad.

Guess what. The support requests about not being able to use the site from over 1 month ago reported via Zendesk just got a generic "can you check if this still an issue" response. Imagine relying on that support.

The fact that all existing URLs break when you start using a custom handle domain is not ... great. Especially for my accessibility bug reports that sometimes refer to exact posts. And there is no way to generate a permalink that uses a non-changing identifier.

"First" Accessibility Bug has been resolved. It was not done by Bluesky, and it was a one liner. Wondering how it will take for the others to be resolved. They are building new features whilst the site and app remain mostly unusable for some.

My thoughts about starterpacks: Great feature to quickly get started on a topic. However, in reality I don't think they are as diverse or helpful as we think they are. Over the past days I've looked at a lot of software based starter packs. The majority of them (e.g. web development) all feature
