Kitten Grade 5 Poop Incident this morning. The bath mat is a total loss and Maple did not appreciate her first bath. 😬
Kitten update: Maple is very cute and playful and can pack the cat food away like a champ. She is still learning the correct place to do her business. She likes to lick and bite my face at 2 am. Milo has granted tacit acceptance.
Oh Lordy I was 20 years younger the last time we had a kitten. 🥱

While we were waiting we chatted with his friend’s dad (who is a musician) about nerves and he said that he always gets nervous but just accepts that the bear (performing) is going to eat him no matter what, which makes him less nervous. 🤣

I recently started a pretty restrictive diet for medical reasons. The other day I was trying to describe a cloud I saw to F and I said that it looked like a pirogi and he replied, “This change is really hard for you, isn’t it?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (It’s not actually)

I use it as a way to expose JP to certain “classic” works that they might not otherwise encounter (though some things have also been new to me). We just finished The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagle, which was amazing….
My mom had a book with a mustard yellow cover called “The Encyclopedia of Childhood Diseases.” I read it many, many, many times. By my recollection, most of the diseases in that book would be considered irrelevant/rare now…. EXCEPT ….

The summer btwn fresh/soph in college I worked at the Red Giraffe video store. Before DVDs. Back when you had to get an SSN to issue a rental card and transactions were almost entirely done in cash. The interior was pretty… Red. We could only have G-rated stuff playing. I made $4.75 an hour.
