My 14 year old wants to bike the ~3 miles to high school. I told him he can’t do that because it’s not safe, as the city hasn’t prioritized the well being of kids and other non-drivers. It doesn’t have to be this way - and isn’t even that hard to fix - but it is this way.

The entire premise is that women's sports are a joke and it's not a real sports league like the men's leagues. None of these people give a damn about women's sports. They just wanted to be transphobic and decided to use this as a wedge issue.

I was just talking with @sgillikin.bsky.social about poor test scores in the Charlottesville City Schools. The one big takeaway for me is that CCS needs a clearly articulated strategy to address this issue that is then implemented at the classroom level. Not sure this is currently happening…
