IT HAS ARRIVED AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL The B-Side is actually my very favorite song on the album, so I am ECSTATIC I absolutely LOVE that it comes w the lyrics, like an old school release. I am so fucking impressed w everything about THE VAMPIRE LESTAT & the MUSIC. Everyone deserves all the awards!

We absolutely agree. Libraries are pretty much the best thing in any town, and they are perpetually under threat. But they are free, they give you access to all kids of physical media and they ask you for nothing.

Having recently read the select committee report the part about the GCSE curriculum really jumped out at me - not a new problem as I remember being put off English by it in the late 90s! I only did english A level after meeting an inspiring teacher at sixth form. GCSE English is the mind killer.

This is why we can't have nice things. I would, genuinely, quite like a pair of AR glasses that could give me a real time "heads up" display of info. I'd even sometimes like to be able to film what I'm looking at - at airshows, for instance. Do I think I should be allowed to have a pair? HELL NO!1/2

One of the most disturbing incidents occurs on Skye where he tells a UK-born Sikh shopkeeper of Indian heritage that there is "forced" diversity in Europe. He goes on to refer to the Kalergi Plan - a far right conspiracy theory about a plot to "breed out the white race". The woman, who was running the shop with help from her teenage daughter, politely suggests his comments are "slightly derogatory". When he leaves, Margerison angrily describes her in his video commentary as "condescending" and complains that "they don't understand". The woman, who was born in London and has lived in Skye for 20 years, told BBC Scotland News he initiated the conversation by asking "what are you doing here?" but edited this out of the published footage. She said her encounter with Margerison, who is heavily built and well over 6ft tall, was "100% intimidating" and that she cried when she was later told by a friend that a secretly-filmed video had been published on TikTok. "You're made to feel very small when you see a video like this," she said. "And it's sad because everyone in the local community is really nice. This was really upsetting."
