Bill Maher makes more money when more people pay attention to him, so anyone who expects anything besides a pretend Boomer sensibility will obviously be disappointed. I like his guests and his show is consistently the only good thing on MAX besides John Oliver.
Nontechnical folks can now make software and I applaud them. They have no idea what is happening and frankly those of us who are in the middle of this transformation don’t know much better, either.
I believe in standups if it means talking to real users.
It’s still important to know how to talk to people at work who don’t do what you do.

My app is sufficiently robust for an agentic loop (codex) to modify it according to high-level instructions. This is how Anthropic builds their applications. With high-level abstractions like the BEAM and Ash, it’s easier for AI to build faster with less spaghetti and fewer bugs.
