I really love reading public reviews. It shows a strange side of humanity. Today’s kind words were for a public park, 3/5 stars. Applauding the facilities, options, and ambiance. “My only complaint is that almost exclusively foreign neighbors use the place - a bit more diversity would be nice!” 😂

I've been free to work on my solo project. Comfy on my laptop, mostly my own code (lol ImGUI and SDL2). Full rebuild is 3.685s, run without debugger takes 0.2s and I can move. Pic irrelevant to what I worked on, but I haven't posted anything in a long time. #ScreenshotSaturday

Missing the blogging era, not only I'm working on a blog to showcase my photography but a second one for game-dev as well, more personal and with proper articles than just breakdowns in artstation. We need to talk more about art, and I feel like we need longer conversations and content, no summarys.

I’m trying to buy something small and common online. First site didn’t accept my money unless I added 20 euros worth of product. A box was 8.- and contains 50 things, honestly I only needed 5, and I need nothing else, so can’t use that site. Second site required me to make an account. No thanks.

My phone is 5+ years old. I’d want a new one for the battery but Apple only makes iPhones that are bigger in size than what I own now. 6 minutes of Safari is 15% battery life! Incredible numbers from Bluesky. Looking at more stats Bsky consumes consistently 50% less than browsing or retail apps.

Today I watched The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951). It still holds up incredibly well, beautifully shot, and genuinely entertaining. Highly recommend.

I got my hands on a 2560x1080 monitor. When I boot my PC the screen does one of the following: - S̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶c̶o̶r̶r̶e̶c̶t̶l̶y̶ - 2560x1080 squished to 1920 - 2560x1080 with padding on all four sides? - 1920x1080, leaving the sides empty - 1080x2560 The last one is ideal as I can rotate it, and it’ll be correct

When I was a kid I made crappy games. One thing I did to make them more legitimate was add fake loading screens. I also tried wrapping them into an installer, but the free installer creators had a watermark, which wasn’t very legitimate, so I dropped that idea 😂 Anyone else did this?

I had to do a bunch of plumbing around the house. Never did any plumbing so had the full Dunning-Kruger Effect from start till a light slope on the path of enlightenment. My next plumbing job is probably in 2 years so ample time to forget what I learned. Just get a plumber.

C++ is sometimes "it works on my machine". Kinari runs on Windows and Ubuntu, and I'm flipping between MSVC and clang. I switched to Debian and my project wouldn't run due to segfaults. I found the problem and fixed it. What I can't understand is how it worked on Windows and Ubuntu at all??

I setup a VPN on the Raspberry Pi at home. There were a few curveballs but I got it working in the end. This allows me to reach my local drives and services while at any WiFi spot. Very happy with it!
