iunno man if you get addicted to an AI chatbot that constantly spits out fawning praise that seems like a skill issue now let me stare at the website that constantly updates how many people love my dumb thoughts
there will always be scammers and just shitty people in general thats not new nor will it ever end, with or without AI aiding in it but i think just KNOWING (respectfully) the people you want to buy art from will be an important part of the process now
i think, now, more than ever its really important to interact with people who like your art and vice versa, and cultivate more community and trust among artists and commissioners and followers in general. its not a perfect system by any means but i think building trust between everyone will help

Someone I know later found out an artist (16k followers) they got a commision from uses AI and now they don't have funds to commish me or another artist they like. Not only does the slop machine steal art, these scammers directly steal work from real artists
